 Michele Lekas is currently Concertmaster of the Northwest Indiana Symphony, the Rockford Symphony Orchestra, the New Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Woodstock Mozart Festival Orchestra and is a substitute violinist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She has appeared on WFMT Live from Studio 1, in many recitals on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Station and has been a featured soloist with many notable orchestras. Michele attended the Quebec Conservatory of Music in her native Canada, where she received her bachelor's and master's degrees. And she received a Graduate Performance Diploma from the St.Louis Conservatory. Michele resides in Willowbrook, IL with her husband, Mark and their two children, Sophie and James. |
