Norah Jones Tickets – Added To Lilith Fair
Norah Jones Tickets – Added To Lilith Fair
Norah Jones is a musical prodigy, and when her debut album appeared in 2002 she became the artist to beat. Now, eight years later Jones continues to impress and showcase her success as a new addition to this summer’s hottest concert, the Lilith Fair Tour. The 32-date summer showcase recently added Loretta Lynn, Heart and Cat Power to the hearty feminine jaunt that includes Loretta Sia, Gossip, La Roux, Beth Orton, Ceci Bastida, Erin McCarley, Frazey Ford, Julia Othmer, Kate Nash, Lights, Missy Higgins, Lissie, Marina & the Diamonds, Priscilla Renea, Rosie Thomas, Melissa McClelland, Toby Lightman and Elizaveta, with more to come.
Artists of this generation are ecstatic to join in on this musical revolution – which will see Jones perform her most classic hits and The Fall tunes. As “the first Lilith to be taken to the new generation,” Jones will be among the many extraordinary talents to return to the touring festival since its hiatus eleven years ago. Alongside some of the festivals founders – Sarah McLachlan and Sheryl Crow – the pop, jazz, rock, country and indie recruits will enjoy dates in Calgary, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Indianapolis and many others through the summer. “The 2010 Lilith Tour isn’t just a celebration of women in music, but a celebration of diverse female voices across all genres,” said Nettwerk Music Group CEO Terry McBride.
Meanwhile, in preparation for the summer tour Jones is supporting The Fall with a 36-date spring tour running through mid-May. Visiting big city arenas like the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, Seattle’s Paramount Theatre, the Fillmore in San Francisco, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Phoenix’s Dodge Theatre and others, Jones will maintain her star status on the scene by playing several of her hits from The Fall. A departure from her norm in this fourth album, Jones walked away from her former band to work with producer/engineer Jacquire King and songwriters Ryan Adams and Will Sheff.
Born in Brooklyn to Ravi Shankar, a famous sitar player, Jones was raised by her mother in Texas listening to the sounds of Billie Holiday and Bill Evans. Though she was surrounded by country music, she started visiting jazz in high school while at the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she stood out as a jazz artist.
Though she earned herself several musical awards during her formative years, enough to probably earn her recognition in the recording world, Jones went to the University of North Texas to study jazz piano. Drifting in and out of coffeehouses the summer of her sophomore year, Jones never returned to college and started singing with Wax Poetic, where she met her regular band members. Come Away with Me, her debut album recorded with Arif Mardin and Craig Street, earned Jones serious critical acclaim and eight Grammy Awards, leading to commercial exposure. She followed up the multi-platinum debut with 2004′s Feels like Home and 2007′s Not Too Late.

Brad Paisley Tickets – Paisley Parties on in 2009 With the Jonas Brothers
Brad Paisley Tickets – Paisley Parties on in 2009 With the Jonas Brothers
Country music’s funny guy Brad Paisley has been putting smiles on the faces of crowds across the country on his current Paisley Party tour, recently kicking off the next leg of his tour alongside a new supporting lineup of Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley and Crystal Shawanda. The “Start a Band” singer has taken his own advice and run with it, recently even taking a short break from his Party tour to make a surprise appearance at a Jonas Brothers concert in Nashville.
Last week, Paisley hopped up on stage alongside the JoBros at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium to belt out “Waitin’ on a Woman” and “Easy Money,” a collaborative effort with the teen pop icons. Martina McBride, Vince Gill, Phil Vassar, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith and Jordin Sparks also made musical appearances at the Jonas Brothers concert, and Nashville’s favorite couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill introduced the band. The star-studded concert allowed country music to merge with a rapidly growing pop music industry, providing one incredible night of musical bliss to all fans holding concert tickets.
While Brad Paisley seized the opportunity to be part of a pop concert last week, this West Virginia native is anything but an upcoming crossover act. The contemporary country singer, songwriter and guitarist has had deep roots in everything country since birth and music in his veins since adolescence, when he was given a guitar and began to perform at local hotspots like the town Rotary Club in West Virginia. Paisley made his public debut on the Wheeling broadcast Jamboree USA, joining the program full-time before scoring opening gigs for country artists like the Judds, Roy Clark and Little Jimmy Dickens.
After attending Nashville’s Belmont University, Brad Paisley scored a songwriting deal with EMI before landing a solo recording contract with Arista, who released his debut album Who Needs Pictures in 1999. Paisley’s breakout album featured the chart-topping singles “He Didn’t Have to Be” and “We Danced,” the two songs that established Paisley’s name on the country scene. Following his initial success in the country realm, Paisley released singles like “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song)” and “Wrapped Around” in the early 2000s, both songs exhibiting Paisley’s knack for clever songwriting with catchy lyrics and hilarious subjects like choosing fishing over a girlfriend when given an ultimatum.
Brad Paisley has been an unstoppable force in the 2000s, scoring number one albums with 2004′s Mud on the Tires, 2005′s Time Well Wasted, 2007′s 5th Gear and 2008′s Play: The Guitar Album, also tacking up number one-charting singles with country music staples like “Mud On the Tires,” “When I Get Where I’m Going,” “She’s Everything,” “The World,” “Letter To Me,” “Online,” “Ticks,” “I’m Still a Guy” and “Waitin’ On a Woman.” Play, Paisley’s most recently released album, is still burning up the charts, spawning the current hit single “Start a Band.” Aside from releasing single after hit single, Brad Paisley has also spent much of 2008 (and now 2009) touring the country on his Paisley Party tour. This country music heavyweight is just as much fun in concert as he is in his amusing music videos, so get Brad Paisley tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/brad-paisley-tickets and get ready for a boot-stompin’ good time!
