Tips To Taking A Trip To Nashville

Tips To Taking A Trip To Nashville

If you want to visit a truly Southern city that is growing leaps and bounds in size and cultural activities, then you might want to consider Nashville Tennessee. It is in the real heart of the South and has many different interesting and fun things to do, see, and hear. The city itself is lovely and there is no big city anywhere that will try harder to make you feel right at home.

When you visit Nashville you might want to consider staying at the luxurious Opryland Hotel Indoor Gardens and Collections. The greenery alone inside this place is breathtaking and lovely to walk through. There are three gardens to see where you can sit and relax and just enjoy the fountains and plants.

Almost anyone who knows anything about country music knows that Nashville is the country music capital of the world. You can go down to Music Row and visit many of the places that some of the greatest and most well known singers have gotten their start. Even today, there have music events in some of the smaller bars and lounges where you just might see some of your favorite country music artist giving a benefit concert or just stopping by.

While you are on Music Row you will have to stop into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Here you can learn all about some of the great singers of this style of music such as Hank Williams, George Jones, and so many more. If you love country music or music in general, you will not want to miss the chance to visit Music Row.

Nashville also has a great newer water park called Wave Country. This is one of the most fun filled activities for families. It features several great water slides and has a wave simulating pool that is huge. If you come in the summer time, you will surely want to spend a day soaking up some southern sun while your children splash and slide the day away.

There is the Cumberland Science Center that is also good clean family entertainment. The General Jackson Showboat is a nice change of pace to dine on a boat and be entertained at the same time. Nashville also has a new symphony and hall if you like music with a little more classic style.

When you visit Nashville, besides just the wonderful things to do in and around the city , you will probably want to just take a little drive around the beautiful countryside while you are there. It is truly the South at its very best.

David Garrett Tickets – Taking On North America For Spring

David Garrett Tickets – Taking On North America For Spring

He’s turning his American fame from the PBS special “Live in Berlin” to a full-blown tour that visits cities like Charlotte, Nashville, Clearwater and others through the spring. The German violinist is making his string instrument one of the hottest new instruments out there – apart from recently appearing on Oprah, where he received a brilliant scream in appreciation, David Garrett’s rocker looks and sweet German charm keep all the women swooning and the men in awe (who else can play a violin and make it seem extremely manly?). If you want to see what all the buzz is about this year as Garrett continues to roll through Ft. Lauderdale and Dallas, pick up David Garrett tickets from http://www.stubhub.com.

Already hailed the biggest thing to come from Germany in centuries, Garrett is making quite the impression on American audiences as he continues to tour through April, playing everything from Mozart classics to rock tunes from AC/DC and Metallica. With high notes from both the BBC Music Magazine, who calls him ‘the stuff of legend,” to People Magazine, who hails him as a “classical hottie,” the 28-year-old star finds fans in all forms. To add even more glam to glory, Garrett will even be included in this year’s Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest performer to play “Flight of the Bumblebee.”

A child prodigy who had a full-blown classical music career at 13, Garrett was born in Aache, Germany and started playing music by the time he could walk. At just eight years old the young musician was playing in front of the world’s largest audiences behind some of the world’s best orchestras (like the London Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Philharmonic), busting out solo performances praised by all. By the time he was a teenager, after already working with legendary Yehudi Menuhin, Garrett signed to Deutsche Cgrammophon as a solo artist and began touring.

As any normal teenager will do, however, Garrett rebelled. Not truly in the sense of the word, though, the 13-year-old violinist who had never listened to anything other than classical music started exploring other kinds of musical genres in rock, pop and hip-hop. “I’d listened to nothing but classical music until the age of 14,” he said on his website. “So when I started going to regular school, and started to be exposed to all this pop and rock, it was a revelation.” The result in his music was something unheard of, which gave Garrett even more of an edge in the revolutionary classic world.

Already a huge star in Europe, where he’s headlined arena tours and earned two gold discs, it was time to find crossover success. The first American release from Garrett appeared with Decca in 2009 and featured singles like “He’s a Pirate” from the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, his own compilation “Chelsea Girl” and even Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal.” American fans, who helped the eponymous album reach the top spot on Billboard Top Heatseekers, Classic Crossover Albums and 116th on the Billboard 200, might recognize his tunes as Garrett doubles as the spokesperson for Banana Republic. With good looks, serious musical charisma and millions of fans to boot, Garrett has nothing to worry about when he takes on American audiences this spring.
